Our Process
Our process is anything but ordinary. We are a custom home builder and remodeler keeping only a small number of projects in process at a time so that we can stay focused on the craftsmanship and quality of your specific home. Our commitment is to make this process smooth and exciting for you. Through every step, we’ll communicate often, keeping you aware of progress and always staying true to our values.
The Handshake (Introduction)
We are family-first and we want to get to know you while you get to know us. We would hope to have a close relationship with you through the design, planning, building and maintenance periods of your new home. To accomplish this, we know that open communication is paramount. We will be seeking to understand your needs and wants while bringing to light unique options that might not have been previously considered.
The Collaboration (Pre-Construction)
For a construction project to succeed, planning is of the utmost importance. We will get into the weeds with you, probably more than you expect. A new home is not a new pair of shoes that you can send back, but something we want you to love forever. We expect the homes we build to last several lifetimes and be enjoyed by many generations. During this phase, we will get detailed with the colors of your walls, to the size of your bed and even to how many utensil drawers you need in your butler’s pantry. This is also a time to identify any structural changes that can’t easily be made later.
The Build (Construction)
This is the fun part, when things come to life. A dream starts to become a reality when a home begins to rise and take shape. Once we begin our transition from planning to building, you will start to see orders placed, deliveries made, scheduled items completed and lots of movement. As different phases of the home are completed, the pace of visible progress will vary. At times it will appear to move very fast and other times, it may seem to slow a bit, that’s ok and expected. We will communicate the ebb and flow of progress to you ahead of time so you know what’s going on and know what to expect. Open communication throughout the process breeds both excitement and patience.
Your Keys (Post-Construction)
The schedule is completed, the checklists checked, the punch list marked off, and the final inspection passed. At this stage, along with a home manual, we happily hand you the keys to your new home.
We also provide you with a complimentary home maintenance schedule for your first year and offer an ongoing home maintenance package to you as well.
Once you have the keys to your beautiful new home, you’re ready to start making some memories!
